Cinema is the basic source of soft ware for the television channels. It is time and again proved. Previously Aptha Rakshaka and Jackie – super stars films made massive news when it was telecast in the television channels for the length of telecast against the actual time of the film.

Now the popular television channel Zee Kannada from No.3 position has come to No.2 position after telecast of Kannada cinema ‘Govindayanamaha’. It also makes ‘Dilkush’ for producer KA Suresh, debut director Pawan Wadiyar and actor with high popularity Komal Kumar.

On last Saturday, 18th August 2012, in Zee Kannada channel ‘Govindayanamaha’ show started at 5.30 pm and it ended at 9 pm. For two hours ‘Govindayanamaha’ cinema it was three and half hours telecast. That was the power of the cinema. It booked one and half an hour of advertisement for the Zee Kannada cinema.

‘Govindayanamaha’ telecast gave 49 TRP point for Zee Kannada and pushed up to the second position in the market. It is a rejoicing moment for Zee Kannada officials. As Parameshwara Gundkal always said ‘Wednesday’ is the celebration moment or issuing gate pass day. It is on that day the TRP ratings for various programs in the channel offices comes to the table of bosses.

One ‘Govindayanamaha’ for Zee Kannada was like Yuvaraj Singh hitting six for all the six balls!

‘Govindayanamaha’ producer KA Suresh hearing to this bumper crop for Zee Kannada says his responsibility for ‘Shravani Subramani’ has further increased.

‘Govindayanamaha’ 100 days film in Kannada directed by debutant director a software guy Pawan Wadiyar starred Parul Yadav, Rekha, Madhulika, Harish Raj in the lead roles. Gurukiran is another main stay of the film as his songs really did wonders. There was repeat for the commercials for pinch hitter song Pyaar Ge Agbutaithe…Namdhuke Jaan Ge Hogbittaithe…..For the first time perhaps on the scroll when the song was on in Zee Kannada the sponsors were indicated.

However actor Komal Kumar stands the best in the television telecast. His film ‘Mr Garagasa’ made in nine days was telecast for 48 times in the television channel.

In the history of records books ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ (Dr Vishnuvardhana in triple roles) was telecast for five and half hours. The duration of the film was two hours 40 minutes; ‘Jackie’ (Puneeth Rajakumar) was telecast for five hours and its duration for two hours and thirty minutes.
